Rutgers Scarlet Divas
Scarlet Divas, is Rutgers' first majorette dance organization rooted in culture, discipline, and sisterhood. With a demanding performance schedule, our dancers must maintain consistent, high‑quality appearance standards, which requires reliable uniforms and essential gear that can withstand frequent use. Founded in 2022, the Scarlet Divas began as a student-led initiative and is now an official Rutgers University organization that performs and brings spirit, tradition, and artistry to Football and Basketball games, campus events, and collaborations with the Rutgers band. Our group of 11–14 dancers trains year‑round to deliver high‑energy routines that showcase precision, creativity, and cultural expression. With a busy schedule across football and basketball seasons, our dancers must appear consistent and performance‑ready at all times, which requires high‑quality uniforms and reliable dance gear. A single uniform costs $119, and multiple sets are needed due to quick turnarounds, weather challenges, and wear from frequent use. Additional essentials—such as jazz shoes, tights, and routine maintenance—add to the overall expense. This fundraiser helps us secure the apparel and equipment necessary to meet university standards, ease the financial burden on students, and ensure our team can continue uplifting the Rutgers community through dance.
