Friends of the Rutgers Gardens

Rutgers Gardens, the university’s 180-acre botanic garden, includes unique display gardens, historic plant collections, a student-run vegetable farm, and Helyar Woods. Serving the campus community as a part of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers Gardens is an outdoor classroom for experiential learning. As we’re one of the few public gardens that does not charge an admission fee, your support helps preserve and maintain our garden areas in ecologically sound ways, provides access to greenspace for the local community, and funds the Rutgers Gardens Student Internship Program.
