Contributions to the Rutgers Climate and Energy Institute (RCEI) support graduate student travel and research, seed grants for research, public education and events, professional development for faculty, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and other areas of need aligned with the mission of RCEI.

The Rutgers Climate and Energy Institute (RCEI) includes researchers and educators from across the university in disciplines ranging from the natural and social sciences to the humanities, arts, engineering, law, and medicine. RCEI is guided by four goals:

  1. understand the complexities and dynamics of Earth's physical, geochemical, and biological systems
  2. advance technologies in renewable energy and energy conservation
  3. understand the societal, economic, and behavioral impacts of climate change and the ways in which people and institutions respond to these changes
  4. raise awareness and inspiring action through the arts and humanities
