Rutgers Global Health Institute was established in 2017 and now has more than 180 faculty and professional members across all of Rutgers University. Its creation was inspired by Rutgers Health's strategic plan, which emphasizes global health equity. (See: www.globalhealth.rutgers.edu )
Our mission is to improve the health of the most vulnerable populations and develop solutions to critical health problems at home and worldwide. By bridging Rutgers’ diverse strengths, we advance collaborative research, build community-driven partnerships, and expand global health education across fields and professions.
Funds contributed to the Rutgers Global Health Equity Program Fund will directly fund our efforts in New Jersey and overseas. For example, $25 will fund a doctor's visit overseas; $100 will help fund a healthcare worker to attend a critical global health training; $500 will pay for non-English speaking communities to conduct local "health fairs" for families in their New Jersey neighborhoods; and $1000 will buy a needed tablet computer and software for our local Rutgers-trained public health worker to conduct their outreach in that community.
Please join us! Your contribution will go far in helping those in need.
