This fund supports an annual lectureship in memory of Hildegard E. Peplau, a pioneer in psychiatric mental health nursing and an influential voice for change in the way nurses cared for patients. The annual lectureship honors Dr. Peplau’s legacy by bringing distinguished leaders and scholars to Rutgers to explore important issues in nursing, mental health, and patient care, while inspiring continued innovation and leadership in the profession.
Help us ensure the long-term future of the Peplau Lecture Series by supporting our effort to raise $50,000 to establish an endowed lecture fund. An endowment will provide a permanent source of support for this distinguished program, helping to sustain its impact for future generations of nurses and nurse leaders. Gifts will be directed toward the endowment fund until the minimum funding level is reached. If the $50,000 minimum required to establish the endowment is not attained, contributions will instead be administered through an annual spend-down account to continue supporting the Peplau Lecture Series.
