The Hill Family Center for College Access was established through the generosity of twin brothers Washington and George Hill, distinguished Rutgers University–Camden alumni who grew up in Camden and dedicated their careers to advancing medicine, science, and education.
Washington Hill became an internationally respected leader in high‑risk maternal‑fetal medicine, serving in the U.S. Army before building a renowned private practice and later becoming the 65th president of the Central Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
George Hill is a celebrated scholar whose molecular and biochemical research has influenced biomedical science around the world. With advanced degrees from Howard University and New York University, he completed an NIH postdoctoral fellowship at Cambridge University and was elected a fellow of the Institute of Medicine and the Academy of Microbiology.
Both brothers are honored members of the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni, reflecting their lifelong commitment to excellence and service.
