Dr. Carmine LoMonaco Student Leadership Fund

The Dr. Carmine LoMonaco Student Leadership Fund was created in recognition of Dr. Carmine LoMonaco, a 1964 graduate of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) whose career has spanned more than 60 years of dedicated service to RSDM and who brought honor and recognition to his alma mater through leadership roles in local and national dental organizations. The recipient of the Dr. Carmine LoMonaco Student Leadership Fund is selected from 3rd year pre-doctoral dental students and receives financial support to facilitate conference attendance or other professional development opportunities. Preference is given to a student who serves in a leadership position such as, but not limited to, president of the RSDM student council or leader of the RSDM Student Dental Association. The student selected shows commitment to organized dentistry, as well as the profession of dentistry. Carmine’s goal for the Fund was always to encourage future dentists to become active in professional associations once they graduate and become leaders in their field.
