CABM Gut-Brain Axis Working Group

Have you heard the phrase, “All diseases begin in the gut”? Or have you recognized that on days you are nervous, your gut is unhappy? We are a group of researchers spread across Rutgers University who work to study the connections between the gut and brain. These connections are important for a wide range of conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, irritable bowel syndrome, Parkinson’s disease, and other diseases of the gut-brain axis. Your donation provides funding for trainees to present their research at a scientific meeting so we can share the research happening at Rutgers with the world!
