The Samuel (RBS '48) & Doris Arons Endowed Scholarship in Business at the Rutgers Business School has been established by the daughters of Samuel & Doris Arons, to continue the family legacy of education and opportunity. Born and raised in Newark, Sam earned his B.S. in Business Administration in 1948 at the Rutgers School of Business Administration in Newark after serving in the U.S. Army in the European theater. He went on to become a successful CPA in private practice. Doris had a long career as an elementary school teacher, and together, she and Sam instilled in their daughters the importance of family, education, and providing opportunities to those who may not have them. The wish of the Arons family is to help provide an education for Newark public school students who want to succeed in business but may not have the financial means.
